Written January 1996

would you spin with me, if I asked you to,
and we’d twirl,
if you turn to me I will close that circle,
we could hold the whole wide world
+++ give it a spin, give it a whirl,
+++ step out in the wide world,
+++ get our feet wet & we’ll twirl,
+++ tumbling to you, I have not hit bottom yet…

I was split apart, but I saved the pieces,
put ‘em in an old glass jar,
tried to run away for a few good reasons,
but I never got too far,

there are streetlights here on this rainy little alleyway
and they shine just for anyhow,
‘cause I caught that glimmer, and it made my day,
and my night, and soon, and right now…
