Looking Down

there’s a tree that she climbed in the graveyard as a child
from the top she could see all around
that’s the place in her mind where she goes to be alone
‘cause a part of her never came down
looking out on the world where the bright colors blend
she’d pretend she was queen for a day
and with the eyes of a girl she could mend it all again
make it clean, hold it close, let it stay
+++ and Judy’s up that tree again
+++ she sees the world her old, old friend
+++ when love’s too loud you gotta lose that crowd
+++ and Judy’s out on a limb.. looking down..

all the sane people say you can’t treat the world that way
it’s a trap, it’s a trade, it’s a game
when the bright colors fade and the tired turn away
from the top she is not so afraid..
+++ and Judy’s up that tree again
+++ she sees the world her long lost friend
+++ when love’s too loud you gotta lose that crowd
+++ and Judy’s out on a limb.. looking down
+++ and Judy’s up that tree again
+++ she sees the world, she’s gonna watch it spin
+++ when love’s too loud you’ve gotta lose that crowd
+++ and Judy’s out on a limb.. looking down…
