sugar town

August, 2025

I’m goin’ down to SUGAR TOWN
to ease the ache again,
I’ll pay the price to ride the rides,
we all know how it ends,

and the bright lights

take my mind off goodbyes,

I tell myself a few lies,

the kind you'd tell a friend..

and there’s a show, for those who know,
where beauty’s on display,
a secret tent, the money’s spent
so eagerly afraid,

when the buzz fades,

you step out in a dull haze,
lonely in the first place,

you’re somehow lonelier now..

find your way around.. SUGAR TOWN,
swim before you drown.. SUGAR TOWN..

all the bright lights

take my mind off goodbyes,

I’ll tell myself some good lies,
the kind I’d tell a friend,
as the time flies,

I’m broken on the inside,

everyday I’m right twice,
then I’m wrong again,
find your way around.. SUGAR TOWN,
what goes up, must come down.. SUGAR TOWN,
swim before you drown.. SUGAR TOWN
